YOUR MISSION

As the Blizzard Talent Officer, you will be the leader who ensures that Blizzard has a world-class talent lifecycle and attracts and inspires the very best creative, technical and business talent. Talent strategy, talent acquisition, talent marketing, talent planning and succession planning are and will continue to be a focus for Blizzard and this role. Additionally, you and your franchise talent leaders will indirectly lead other talent areas, including (but not limited to) talent assessment, workforce planning/analytics, executive recruiting, performance management, and learning & development. In addition to managing an organization of talent professionals, you will inspire and lead our leaders, managers and employees to be fully engaged in the talent lifecycle, including talent acquisition. To that end, the Blizzard Talent Officer is expected to attract and retain best-in-class recruiters and talent professionals from leading creative, mobile, technology and adjacent organizations. This critical leader in the organization will report directly to our Blizzard Chief People Officer and indirectly to the Activision Blizzard Chief Talent Officer. This role serves on the Blizzard HR Leadership Team and enterprise-wide Talent Leadership Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, manage and execute upon Blizzard and franchise talent strategies that are well integrated with and supportive of the business and people (HR) strategies – this includes prioritization of critical capabilities and roles, build/buy/borrow decisions, etc.

  • Ensure we have the right talent, in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost to deliver on our near and long-term business strategy

  • Establish Blizzard and its franchises as a destination employer of choice for the world’s best talent, including through a cohesive and delivered Employee Value Proposition and talent marketing

  • Manage a world-class talent lifecycle which attracts, inspires, develops and retains the very best creative, technical and business talent

  • Facilitate successful talent planning throughout Blizzard, including succession planning, with a focus on executing our plans to develop a strong talent pipeline

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery of a world-class talent lifecycle which attracts, inspires, develops and retains the very best and most representative creative, technical and business talent

  • Constantly draw upon the latest talent innovations to continuously push Blizzard to go beyond the status quo and be seen as a talent leader among peers and adjacent companies

  • Partner closely with the Blizzard Chief People Officer, Blizzard Leadership Team, franchise people officers, and HR to collectively prioritize and deliver on our talent agenda and plans

  • Partner with the Blizzard Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer and broader DE&I team to realize our DE&I goals and objectives, with an initial focus on modernizing DE&I approaches in talent acquisition

  • Build and lead a nimble, world-class Talent team, bringing the best out of every team member and fostering a culture of high performance, people development, innovation, and collaboration

  • You are a highly experienced business and talent leader with proven expertise in talent acquisition and talent management for high-growth, large-scale, matrixed technology and/or entertainment organizations

  • You are an expert in collaboratively driving enterprise-wide, growth focused talent transformation for global organizations with proven accomplishments in increasing diversity, revenue, earnings and organizational efficiency through people programs

  • You are widely respected as a strategic leader, with a clear ability to develop, communicate and execute a compelling talent strategy in collaboration with other leaders

  • You have a deep understanding of the business and the ability to both anticipate and communicate the impact of talent on the success of the company, with a demonstrated balance of IQ and EQ

  • You are a consummate coach who gets personal fulfillment by succeeding through others and developing leaders, and have successfully developed other leaders (at varying levels) to do the same

  • When you seek to understand and solve a problem, you instinctively ask for the data and are able to influence others to action through compelling insights and business cases

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $206,000.00 – $335,000.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
