As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop backend services to help game creators reach the broadest audience possible
You will help us build & scale large distributed systems, data processing and analysis pipelines, an access control system, Open Cloud APIs all of which are central for all content created in Roblox.You Will:Solve on a variety of unique technical challengesHave the independence, opportunity and the end-to-end responsibility to develop, test and deploy services within the Roblox ecosystemGuide the future technical direction of the team and have impact on engineeringBe a technical bar-raiser for high code quality, architectural designs, and long-term approachesDesign systems and services that are scalable and resilientCollaborate with passionate Engineers, Product Managers and other Roblox team members.Report to Engineering Manager, Creator Platform.You Have:4+ years hands-on experience shipping high complexity codeExperience architecting, designing and leading implementation of a wide array of software productsExperience supporting important applications at scaleStrong proficiency in C#, Go, C++, Java, Python or similar programming languagesAn understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases at scaleAbility to work with all layers of the stack – you have been an important contributor across the entire technology stack of previous projectsFor roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below
The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand
Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range
