Senior data engineer

The goal: to make our customers more successful and their consumers happier.We are seeking a Senior Data Developer who will join a team focusing on building the next generation of Unity’s monetization suite. Unity Monetization enables developers to build a business through advertising, in-app purchase and analytics. You are someone who is passionate about system scalability, performance and processing big volumes of data. In addition, the system functional requirements also drive us towards use of rule engines and machine learning.What you’ll be doing

• Responsible for reporting data foundation and reporting data development.
• Assist with building an offering of data, tools and API’s as an internal product offering for other teams at Unity to independently and effectively use data for their specific business analysis and reporting.
• Responsible for working with several internal customer teams to map their needs and working with the Business Intelligence and Engineering teams to design and implement scalable and automated data solutions.
• Participate and own various aspects of data solutions and API’s to enable comfortable and safe workflows for using data.

What we’re looking for

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years of experience with Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Quality, or Distributed Data Processing.
• Requires 7 years of experience with the following: ETL tools, developing, testing batch and streaming data applications keeping in mind security, performance, reliability, scalability, usability and flexibility; Dimensional data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing; Building scalable, repeatable, and secure data pipelines that can serve multiple purposes; Big Data, Hadoop, and at least one of the following technologies: Hive, Spark, Kafka, HBase, Presto; and At least one of the following databases: DB2, Oracle.
• Requires 5 years of experience with translating finance data, and business needs to technical specifications and design documents.
