Senior Consultant, Executive Compensation & Global Incentives (Contract)
San Mateo, CA – requires travel onsite
SIE PlayStation is seeking a Contract Senior Consultant to manage, support and execute multiple key Compensation & Global Incentive Plan initiatives. Requiring an exceptional level of detail and stewardship, each are considered milestones across overall annual strategic plans. Throughout execution, this role will also serve as a strategic consulting partner to senior business, HR leadership, and internal cross-functional teams. This is a Contract Consultant role with an expected duration of 6-8 months.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts underway that elevate SIE’s existing Compensation & Global Incentive offerings
- Lead annual equity planning cycles while working cross-functionally, which can include individual Business Division(s), Internal Communications, HRIS, and People Experience Teams
- Serve as a strategic compensation consulting partner to assigned global business divisions, which span across the US, UK, and Japan
- Prepare program management design recommendations including our annual award cycle
- Prepare executive summaries to secure executive management and Headquarter approvals for equity recommendations
- Develop transition plans, proposed timelines, and recommended actions that address gaps while aligning with our Global Compensation Philosophy
- Develop training materials for leaders to empower support for our planning & decisions
- Develop training and communications materials (ex: Communication Guide, Individual Award Statements) to support leader-led award conversations
- Partner with HRIS team to configure and implement actions needed to meet planned annual cycle timelines and execution dates
- Conduct impact assessments, both employee and financial
- Oversee and support compensation & incentive events
- Serve as a point of contact for programs and special project efforts
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of corporate and/or consulting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training
- Strong expertise in a variety of compensation models, structures, and vehicles
- Exceptionally detail-driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with an ability to see the broader picture
- Ability to manage ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment prioritizing workload and performing multiple tasks under accelerated deadlines
- Proven senior stakeholder and leadership interaction and management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (especially in relation to senior executives and partners)
- Excellent organization, planning, and decision-making skills crucial; ability to balance needs of the business and the employees while maintaining compliance
- Self-Starter and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to travel as needed; expected travel is between 25% – 50% (about 1 week per month)
Desired qualifications:
- Ideally 3-4+ years in executive compensation design and strategic efforts implementation at a global organization or a consulting firm
- Experience working across multiple geographies and within a matrixed organization

$90—$120 USD
