We are looking for an experienced Quality Designer II to join the Skate team. You will report to our Quality Verification Development Director.


Developing and implementing a strategic plan for the team’s engagement with the Live Service environment. This includes defining goals, developing policies, and setting standards for quality in the live service.

Identifying the current skills and competencies within the team and determining what additional skills are needed to build an effective Live Service team for the future.

Guiding and mentoring the Quality Verification team members on best practices for the Live Service environment and providing feedback and support to help them grow in their roles.

Acting as the primary point of contact for Live Service status updates and risks for partners including Quality Verification, development and production.

Coordinating the Quality Verification team on the validation and deployment of release candidates to Live on multiple platforms.

Incorporating the usage of data into the Live Quality Strategy to make informed decisions. This includes interpreting data to understand trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in the live service.

Identifying Automation and Tools Opportunities for the team to use in the Live environment to improve our testing process.


5+ years of Game Design or Quality Assurance experience.

Software development cycle experience with a focus on Live service/operations

Experience working within a continuous delivery or continuous deployment model.

Experience partnering with distributed teams and building relationships with development partners, support teams, and management.


The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and business or organisational needs.


  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $77,600 – $119,000 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
