As the Product Manager for this group, you are the product owner for developer monetization supporting all creators in improving the economy for their game and hence for the platform. If you are an ambitious product leader, who doesn’t hesitate to propose ambitious ideas and put them into action, you’ll be a phenomenal fit.

This role based in San Mateo, CA (no remote option) and reports to the Sr. Director Product, Monetization and Payments.

You Will:

  • Drive the product strategy and vision for an innovative developer monetization platform on Roblox, owning the industry in defining ways in which users and developers can find value on this platform.
  • Drive innovation where creators can improve their earnings by making it easy and safe to transact on Roblox.
  • Lead the strategy and execution for helping our developers monetize their current and new games better while making sure our users have the best experience on Roblox.
  • Drive personalization for users on the platform as it relates to developer products and games.
  • Drive automation for creators that results in outcomes that are incremental for the developer, the user and the platform.
  • Have full responsibility for developing features and capabilities to facilitate in-app monetization through developer products and optimize pricing, while minimizing Roblox’s exposure to fraud and abuse
  • Partner with other product, design, engineering and business collaborators at Roblox, and drive strategic alignment.
  • Enroll other teams into your product vision and align roadmaps to ensure cohesive product functionality and value proposition.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to define scope, review technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities
  • Lead and facilitate brainstorming, then take these early ideas and iterate, experiment, and build
  • Defend your POV against skeptics, while being open to feedback and adapting your ideas to deliver the best output
  • Use relentless customer understanding and compassion to discover and define the right problems and products we should be pursuing
  • Balance and prioritize new features with existing backlog initiatives and align them with the product vision.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of product management experience, with experience in the in-app monetization, game analytics and pricing
  • Entrepreneurial drive: Worked in a fast paced environment, with challenging resources and priorities, through the product life cycle from planning, development, through to launch. Strong opinions and a willingness to make calls with limited information.
  • Advocate for resources and operating in a multifaceted, fluid organization.
  • A high degree of self-direction and a get stuff done attitude.
  • Technical approach: Easy in delving into the product, platform and implementation details. Ability to roll up your sleeves and engage with engineering to design scalable and extensible solutions
  • Data-driven approach: Proficiency identifying, defining, tracking and acting upon metrics. Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing methods. Experience identifying critical metrics and working with engineering and analytics on instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to convey strategies, priorities, and tradeoffs at the 30K foot level, as well as produce clear and detailed product and technical specifications

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$176,360-$220,110 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
