The LATAM Marketing team at Rockstar Games is on the lookout for a talented and passionate individual to help manage and launch our projects in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking LATAM territories. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Marketing Team to help execute new product releases for all Rockstar Games titles, as well as ensure the smooth maintenance of existing titles in-market and support our ongoing live services.

This is a freelance / contract position reporting to the Rockstar LATAM team, and candidates will work locally in the region

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Games LATAM Marketing team develops and executes all go-to-market campaigns for LATAM across Rockstar Games’ suite of titles.
  • We are responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution for all facets of promoting and selling our titles including asset localization, packaging, social media, events, above-the-line, promotions, retail, and much more.
  • We manage all aspects of the Rockstar Games brand for LATAM, ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to across all channels.
  • We work closely with the Rockstar Games Global Publishing team to ensure seamless execution of plans including marketing for our live service titles, Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide local insight on key marketing campaigns and industry trends.
  • Highlight changes in local media / social media landscape, key players, best practices, and changing consumer behaviors.
  • Assume responsibility for regular Communications deliverables such as weekly PR blasts or press releases.
  • Provide analysis and coverage reports including local community and press sentiment around our brand and titles.
  • Actively maintain and develop relationships with media outlets, content creators, and local industry key partners to identify and maximize marketing and communications opportunities.
  • Brief, supervise, and coordinate with local agency partners.
  • Provide ad-hoc translations from LATAM Spanish to English and vice versa.
  • Monitor and report on Community activity in social media.
  • Track spending and budgets.
  • Assist the LATAM Marketing team with ad-hoc requirements and tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Marketing and/or Communications or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ year experience in Marketing, Media, or Public Relations.
  • Preferably based in Mexico City.
  • Travelling potentially required – including game demos, industry events, or office meetings.
  • Passion for gaming (PC/Console) with a basic understanding of the gaming market in LATAM.

SKILLS

  • Highly self-motivated and proactive with ability to work both with less supervision and as part of a team environment.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written language skills (English and Spanish).
  • Independent team player, comfortable with working from home remotely.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Familiarity with social media and data analysis.

  • A passion for video games / Rockstar Games.
  • Strong knowledge base in the world of entertainment and culture: technology, music, film, etc.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Note that this is a contract role, renewable every 12 months.
