Responsibilities:

  • Manage reporting and compliance for US sales tax, including sales tax audits and notices
  • Manage local indirect tax reporting and compliance globally, including VAT, GST and DST
  • Coordinate with third-party advisors and compliance teams globally to oversee compliance requirements in various jurisdictions where we operate
  • Oversee various remediation workstreams to address historical exposures, including working closely with outside advisors to liaise with relevant tax authorities
  • Manage Vertex and relevant platforms to ensure tax is correctly applied to customer sales
  • Prepare sales tax and VAT account reconciliations on a quarterly basis
  • Coordinate with internal e-payments team, finance department, and external payment processors to coordinate data needs
  • Support business initiatives, including design and development of e-payments systems for new sales channels, and related compliance
  • Identify and implement strategies for tax savings opportunities and risk minimization, including performing jurisdictional taxability analysis for all revenue streams
  • Support local controllers to address local indirect tax requirements
  • Coordinate with income tax team and local finance departments for global planning and reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant Indirect tax experience in Big 4 and/or multi-national public company
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced tax research skills in Checkpoint and/or BNA
  • CPA is preferred
  • Master’s degree in Business Taxation is preferred
