Job Description: As Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be reporting to our Country Manager. You will develop communications representing Riot and its leadership across owned and earned media. You’ll master Riot’s brand and executive voices and author communications that authentically reflect them. You’ll collaborate with brand management, press and social media teams to share narratives in an authentic, player-focused way. To achieve that, you’ll lead a team of agencies and will constantly work on identifying, planning and executing on those opportunities that will deliver the most impact to both potential and new players, as well as build strong processes to tangibly measure success. You’ll collaborate with teams across the globe with the goal of bringing the best possible experiences to Spanish and Portuguese players. **Responsibilities**: – Responsible for defining Riot’s Social Media and PR strategy for major key beats and execution for Games, Esports and Entertainment, making sure we’re achieving our goals and delivering incredible player experiences across earned channels. – Work closely with the IBIT Brand and Competitive Experience Managers to understand their marketing and comms needs, support their plans in the adequate channels and execute according to their campaign plans. – Collaborate with multiple teams (both regional and global) to create online social media and PR campaigns to drive player engagement. – Lead contractors and/or agencies that will help you achieve success through operational and tactical support. – Lead creative brainstorming processes with internal and external stakeholders for upcoming campaigns and initiatives. – Closely collaborate with other Marketing & Communications leads across Riot to deliver key beats to the IBIT players. – Help prepare spokespeople for media and other public facing opportunities, anticipating questions, issues, and any other potholes. – Monitor performance metrics at a global level to help guide social strategy and improve performance, and allow internal partners to better understand how their campaigns/content performed against internal and external benchmarks. – Keep the team and agencies motivated in order to achieve IBIT’s OKRs. **Required Qualifications**: – 5+ years of experience in marketing, communication at an agency or in-house in the video game, technology, or entertainment industry. – Global or regional experience working at an international HQ or across multiple countries/markets. – Experience with crisis communications and responding to sensitive and rapidly-escalating situations in an assuring manner. – Experience implementing successful marketing & communications campaigns with passionate audiences. – Well versed in writing, with deep experience communicating the unique voices of individual executives and brands. – Experience growing content pipelines (in-house and external/agency). – Fluent in written and verbal English and Spanish, Italian is a plus. – Familiarity with exercising great discretion as it relates to confidential information.
