Manager, Talent and Media Partnerships, Entertainment Business Development
Location: Los Angeles, CA/Remote Local
Summary
EA Entertainment Business Development is looking for an experienced media and entertainment professional to join the team as Manager, Talent and Media Partnerships. You have union labor experience across the entertainment industry, have managed complex productions and multi-service talent deals, and will guide development of efficient practices. You will work with studio and marketing teams to identify and engage performers, writers, and consultants for EA’s entertainment franchise properties. You will report to the Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities
- You will manage multi-franchise entertainment talent engagement through internal collaborative kickoffs, providing guidance and visiblity to EA’s business practices, third party licensor obligations, and contractual business terms.
- Research, compile, and prepare data for use in AAA talent negotiations, while partnering with production and marketing leads to meet franchise goals.
- You will communicate financial and performance opportunities, guiding business practices and legal collaboration.
- Build on your positive business relationships with talent agents, vendors, and external partners, to secure great talent, rates, and terms.
- Knowledge of SAG-AFTRA IMA union terms, providing guidance on engagement practices, clearances, and reporting.
- Administer and/or oversee internal processes, including PO generation, vendor set up, payrolling, and other applicable contracting requirements.
- Maintain talent database, status charts, contact lists and rights tracking across entertainment franchises and associated agreements.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years relevant experience in performer engagement, videogames, and SAG-AFTRA union labor standards.
- Strong knowledge of TV, Film, Videogame or Advertising production shoot requirements.
- Production background, including experience negotiating multi-service talent agreements, footage licenses, clearances, a plus.
- Experience using rights management systems and tracking rights across multiple forms of media markets.
- Experience partnering with multiple disciplines and influence effectively.
- Comfortable with fluidity and iteration, and receptive to change and diverse ideas.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
- $122,400 – $176,300 USD
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
