As the Commercial & Marketing Manager, your role will be supporting & driving efforts across our commercial, e-comm & licensing businesses. You will be at the forefront of defining and deploying strategies, campaigns & assets across North America, Europe, Asia, and other emerging markets. This individual will have the opportunity to champion the exciting portfolio of licensed products while implementing strategies that provide exposure while delivering both commercial revenue and fan engagement. You will be front and center to driving business for some of the most epic franchises in the video game industry, including but not limited to, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Diablo & many more of our beloved Activision Blizzard IPs.
The Commercial & Marketing Manager will develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal teams and key stakeholders such as franchise, studio, digital marketing, creative development, etc. You will have the opportunity to foster & develop relationships with external partners such as agencies, vendors, sponsors, licensees to continue growing our business.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an ability to work not only independently, but also collaboratively. This individual will be an expert at communicating to internal & external teams with the ability to develop materials but also possess the ability to influence at both the peer and
senior levels. This individual will get lots of exposure across many different teams within the company and success will be determined but this candidate’s ability to adapt to ever-evolving product plans, presenting creative solutions for success.
The ideal candidate is a team player that is ready and willing to jump in and own the commercial & marketing efforts for consumer products across the biggest franchises in video games.
Responsibilities:
- Manage & develop account-specific commercial and digital marketing plans for consumer products across the ABK franchise portfolio (Call of Duty, Overwatch, Diablo, World of Warcraft, Crash Bandicoot & future ABK title developments)
- Work with the Sr. Director, Consumer Products to build franchise-specific strategies for commercial go to market planning, distribution management & long lead planning efforts
- Manage agency partner relationships with commercial partners such as Retail Monster. Build relationships with agency team members via weekly meetings that establish strategic direction, secure retail planning meetings & expand commercial distribution globally. Provide updates to our brands as needed by collaborating on commercial planning decks, sales materials & product catalog updates
- Collaborate with Commercial & Category teams to understand current & future product roadmaps to provide strategic recommendations for commercial distribution to our retail & licensed partners globally
- Execute specific go-to-market plans & marketing efforts across digital and physical commercial partners that include, but are not limited to, owned E-comm sites, retail partners & PR agencies, and more
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish relationships across each franchise leads & coordinate support for CPG commercial & marketing efforts across all titles
- Work with internal and external creative agencies
- Manage & route all commercial, marketing, digital assets & creative for all title responsibilities
- Manage licensee marketing budgets & collaborate with licensed partners to develop & execute marketing plans tied to product releases across ABK
- Assist Sr. Director, Consumer Products in developing sales presentations, tools & franchise 1-sheets to communicate brand updates
- Participate in all consumer products & video game road shows & planning meetings
- Collaborate with the Director of E-Commerce on franchise store marketing strategy, calendar & execution
- Participate in weekly cross-functional title planning meetings with Product Management, Digital Marketing, PR, Events, Product Development and Consumer marketing to champion & foster integration of CPG marketing objectives
- Ensure necessary internal approvals on artwork and other account marketing assets
Player Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Sales, Business; MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
- 3+ years of Marketing or Product Management or Sales experience or Digital/Brand Marketing experience at leading consumer packaged goods, licensing or entertainment software company strongly desired
- Exceptional presentation skills across varying audience from internal teams to Senior Leaders and Retail Customers
- Interest in video games and the licensed consumer products industry preferred
- The ideal individual should be extremely organized and detail-oriented with solid Project Management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to own projects from start to finish & be a self-starter. A successful candidate in this position will be able think dynamically, find creative solutions & foster strong cross-functional relationships

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $97,200.00 – $179,900.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
