The role
As a Live Designer, you will work in a fast-paced but structured environment to improve the player experience, while following strategy and product decisions from the product’s overall direction. You will be a key part of keeping the player experience fresh and engaging; being a go-to, day-to-day person to make things happen.

You will be proposing and helping design Live Events, with input and help from Game Design, Monetization, and Live Strategy Direction, and facilitate QA testing of these. This includes the gameplay, the rewards, and the general theme. You will also be writing creative briefs for Vanity items in the game – working with Live Strategy Direction, Character Art team, and Monetization.

  • Integrating Gameplay tuning into the game, and facilitating testing of these
  • Technically pushing config changes live, driving testing of these in advance (with help from other groups), and being responsive for hotfixes
  • Be a contributor to the main Live Group
  • Battle Pass design (progression, XP curves, and rewards)
  • Progression tuning (economy curves) and setting up progression-based rewards
  • Rewards distribution and tuning
  • Loot tuning (probability and content)


  • Game Design or QA background (3+ years)
  • Interest, ability, and experience in writing game design documents

Keen interest in Live/GaaS games and player experience

  • Keen interest in shooter games on PC or console or, ideally both

Experience with game development and the different tools used

UE5 experience

Who we are
Sharkmob was founded in 2017 and has offices in Malmö, Sweden, and London, UK. The studio develops AAA-quality games for PC and console, using the Unreal Engine to power its ambitions of taking multiplayer games to new heights. Our first game, Bloodhunt, was released last year and we are currently working on two proprietary, unannounced projects.
