DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Provides support, direction, feedback, coaching and enforcement of expectations to assigned staff
  • Forecasts and manages work volume, work schedules, and staffing levels to ensure business needs are met, acts as liaison with other departments and coordinates training schedules, labor sharing, and cross training
  • Extensive knowledge of procedures, and ability to perform tasks in home department (subject matter expert)
  • Monitors and evaluates performance of staff and assess staff for the semi-annual review process. Performs one-on-ones with staff to promote employee development and engagement
  • Confirms accuracy of time-keeping records (Time and Labor & sign in/out sheets), manage time off requests
  • Ensures inventory handling best practices are trained and followed with timely inventory discrepancy research and resolution
  • Fosters a culture that encourages and supports diversity and inclusion (work environment). Motivate and engage personnel by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition
  • Ensures tasks are being performed by staff according to training, safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are followed for task completion, including meeting quality, efficiency, and accuracy standards. Ensures assigned staff maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner and follows 5S initiatives
  • Identifies and develops process changes that lead to increased efficiency and productivity (continuous improvement), using
  • Lean principles and plan do check act (PDCA), Leads teams in developing, monitoring, and the execution of projects for improvements
  • Coordinates with Supervisor to resolve personnel/performance issues regarding assigned staff (coaching, documentation, etc.)
  • Participates in the interview process of new hires and makes recommendations regarding hiring of hourly personnel

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two to three years of related experience
  • Experience with automated warehouse packaging, distribution, error handling, replenishment, and inventory control practices preferred
  • Ability to lead assigned staff in a high-volume team-oriented environment
  • Strong employee development skills
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, problem solving and cross-group collaboration
  • Ability to work with highly confidential and/or sensitive matters
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Power Point); IBM iSeries and Oracle EBS knowledge
  • Experience in the operations of manual and electric pallet jacks and lift trucks, portable computer terminals and barcode scanners, conveyors, and dock doors and plates preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Specialized training in automated distribution systems or equivalent preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. This position includes a base salary range of $64,839 – $98,759 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
