The Role:

As our next Lead Environment Artist, you’ll relish the opportunity to develop a team with your ability to communicate effectively, willingness to handle challenging situations, and able to delegate responsibilities with excellent organisational & time management skills.

You will be accountable for supporting the wider Environment team and Art Directors to fulfil the project’s artistic direction and production timelines, as well as guiding the team through project tasks that improve the gameplay experience of our new AAA IP. You can see the bigger picture and understand why it’s important to be the main point of contact between your team and production to efficiently delegate appropriate tasks for the benefit of the game development.

What you’ll bring:

  • In depth knowledge of modelling, topology, texturing and optimisation.
  • Good knowledge of level editors, level design, and Physical Based Rendering.
  • In depth understanding of open world and visual storytelling and some understanding of architecture
  • A good understanding of VFX and Lighting, with the ability to confidently give feedback and direction in this area
  • Ability to adopt and effectively communicate using different styles when working with team members across the world with various cultural backgrounds.
  • Good knowledge of scheduling and team tracking software and techniques (Jira etc).
  • Exemplary written, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, team building and people management skills.
