Transformation Lead, Accounts Payable
Introduction to Function & Role: The Accounts Payable Transformation Lead will be responsible for driving the transformation of the accounts payable function along with the Global PTP Team in the organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in process improvement, and a deep understanding of accounts payable best practices. The Transformation Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities, implement new tools and technologies, and drive efficiencies in the accounts payable function.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan for transforming the accounts payable function
- Identify process improvement opportunities and prioritize initiatives based on impact and feasibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement new tools and technologies to streamline the accounts payable process
- Manage change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the transformation initiatives, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including vendors and service providers
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the accounts payable team on best practices and process improvements
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in end-to-end accounts payable, with at least 3 years of experience in process improvement or transformation roles
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Deep understanding of accounts payable processes, best practices, and technologies, including experience with accounts payable automation tools and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Experience with change management and training efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies
