They will employ Agile best practices, use modern software development paradigms, and focus on continuous improvement in the delivery of high quality applications for our customers. We believe in agile software development, metrics, short feedback loops, well-designed application, early test development, automation wherever possible, and are open to adoption of the latest tools and techniques for solving complex problems.Responsibilities:Architecting and developing JavaScript-based applications for the content pipeline that drives the PlayStation network for gaming consolesProduce excellent, thorough design and development documentationWork with limited supervision under tight time constraints and respond to rapidly evolving requirementsContribute to existing and develop new common software components to benefit other SIE client applicationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degreeProficient with at least one widely adopted single page application (SPA) architectureProficient with React NativeExpert in object oriented, asynchronous JavaScriptHighly proficient in HTML5 / CSS3Experience shipping consumer facing, web applicationsStrong technical, analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated with an ability to take initiativeExperience in developing high-performance user interfacesPassionate about quality and writing clean, readable code that scales and performs wellPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with JavaScript frameworksFamiliarity with Restful API’sProfessional experience in Java or object-oriented programmingCustomer-facing UI DevelopmentExperience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologiesPlease refer to our for more information about how we process your personal information, and your data protection rights.At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.In addition, this role is eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
