Q ualifications BTech – Mechanical or Diploma – Mechanical Experience in RD in switchgear industry Minimum work experience – 3-5 years J ob Description Responsibilities Vision/idea to design to prototype to type test. Translate new technological development into design and process. Develop new designs, cost reductions, and design modifications that will assure product and technology leadership in accordance with the company’s strategic plan. Prepare project level and product documentation based on the requirements. Document product robustness using simulations, analysis and testing methods. Prepare and maintain product documentation, instruction manuals, project notebooks, and design and test documentation. Arrange design reviews, analyse concepts and cost effectiveness of the hardware designs. Coordinate engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing. Assist Purchasing on supplier selection and component evaluation. Write papers, participate in technical meetings, seminars, and conferences.
