Working in People at Riot enables you to redefine what positive human resources practices are by combining the best of standard methodologies with your creativity and passion.As Compensation Partner II, reporting into the Manager of Compensation, you bring knowledge and experience to our people, product, discipline, and regional leaders. You act as a resource for compensation related matters and will support and consult with the business on compensation matters such as salary management, compensation programs, Rioter and manager education and communication, job design and evaluation and corporate policies/procedures interpretation. You conduct a range of compensation analyses and are a guardian of good pay practices and can help level up the understanding by everyone (Rioter, manager, leader, executive) of compensation.Responsibilities:
- Provide support to business leaders and HRPBs on compensation related activities such as new hire offers, promotions, internal transfers, top talent and retention; escalates complicated or dynamic situations to Compensation Leadership for input and direction
- Directly support specified client groups and respective People team members on implementation and execution of Riot’s central compensation practices, including data management, analysis, reporting and communications
- Proactively research and analyze data (market, turnover, offer acceptance rates, etc) to determine the competitive position of roles within client groups and present findings and recommendations to Compensation Leadership and HRBPs
- Support compensation cycle process for client groups to ensure compensation decisions are made that align with Riot’s central compensation philosophy
- Partner with the business and HRBPs to understand the organizational structure and JA application in order to make meaningful compensation recommendations
- Collaborate with the broader Compensation team to bring business insights that inform program design and improvement; help develop and maintain compensation programs, systems and tools
- Serve as a change champion and participate in the development and enhancement of communication and training materials
- Provide ongoing reporting to business leaders, including analysis of results vs budget and benchmark analysis of roles and advise the Compensation Manager of potential updates to reporting
- Effectively manage and prioritize work; negotiate and meet established deadlines/turnaround with clients or partners
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with HRBPs, other People teams (eg, Talent Acquisition, Systems team etc) and partners within the business
- Participate in maturing and overseeing Riot’s job architecture and position management
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a compensation analyst role with confirmed progression
- Comfort with excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) modeling and data visualization
- Substantial command of compensation fundamentals, including job matching, market pricing, and job architecture
- Team orientation, with the ability to partner and educate colleagues from entry-level associates to senior leaders
- Knowledge of Federal, state, and local employment law as it pertains to pay practices
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, Economics, Human Resources Management, or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with international pay practices
