Your Mission:

Join the epic adventures of the World of Warcraft Brand team as we quest for a daring Brand Manager to lead our marketing charge! We seek a Marketing Champion who excels in both the art and science of brand management, with a proficiency in crafting and implementing strategic and creative platforms for AAA game launches. This role demands a dynamic individual who can define the Creative Strategy for WoW Classic, rally cross-functional teams, and bring our brand vision to life. This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the creation and implementation of detailed global marketing plans, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and market trends. This includes both digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Work closely with game development, and creative teams to ensure consistent and cohesive brand messaging across all touchpoints. This includes maintaining strong internal communication and coordination with international teams.
  • Drive the execution of high-impact, innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. Leverage new technologies and platforms to engage consumers effectively.
  • Being responsible for the production of tentpole campaign activations from inception to launch.
  • Leading Agency relationships and keeping teams aligned against schedules and strategic campaign pillars.
  • Present campaigns to key collaborators and driving the implementation of approved plans by global cross functional teams.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign performance metrics to optimize marketing strategies. Use data to inform decision-making and demonstrate return on investment on marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years’ of proven track record in brand management, preferably in the video game industry or a related entertainment field.
  • Proven record of launching successful marketing campaigns for AAA brands across multiple channels and platforms
  • Creative and Analytical Skills: Ability to blend creativity with analytical thinking to develop compelling marketing campaigns and measure their efficiency.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to encourage and lead cross-functional teams. Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing collaborators at all levels.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms, and an understanding of how to demonstrate technology for marketing success.
  • A passion for gaming, gaming culture, and strong understanding of current industry trends, player behavior, and product life cycles.

Pluses

  • Experience collaborating with international teams to implement global campaigns.
  • Direct experience marketing video games or other entertainment media.
  • In-depth knowledge of Blizzard games, particularly World of Warcraft.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $72,720.00 – $134,460.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
