BI Engineer – Data and Analytics (DnA)


Electronic Arts is seeking a BI Engineer to join our DnA organization. The BI Engineer will develop and optimize business intelligence solutions to help guide informed decisions. You will include creating front-end dashboards and visualizations, deploying and managing dashboards on the cloud, and optimizing the performance of these dashboards. Our mission is to provide optimum Business Intelligence solutions for our business teams for data-driven decision-making.

You will report to the Technical Director of BI.

Location: Toronto.

This position will be fully remote.


  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Looker
  • Be proficient in backend semantic model creation, management, and optimization.
  • You will utilize understanding of AWS, GCP, and Snowflake to query data and create semantic data models for dashboards.
  • Implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, data architects, project, and product managers to align data projects and deliverables.
  • You will work with team members in managing expectations, gathering requirements, and providing regular updates.
  • You will ensure dashboard performance by optimizing latency and query sizes.
  • Our Business Intelligence Analyst helps us in mastering, analyzing, evaluating, interpreting, and presenting.


  • Technical skills
  • 5+ years of experience with BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Looker).
  • Expertise in writing SQL queries.
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and Snowflake.
  • Understanding of data modelling, ETL, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficient at optimizing the latency and performance of dashboards and managing the size of queries.
  • Soft skills
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyze information and guide decisions from it.
  • Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.
  • Experience providing engineering support to customer support team to resolve any critical customer issues.
  • Deliver timelines and changing project requirements.
  • Other qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.


The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $93,700 – $153,900 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
