Your Mission

As an Associate Weapon Rigger, you will be helping us develop and support our weapon rigs for the COD franchise. This role requires some understanding of weapon mechanics, rigging principles, and the ability to work closely with modelers, animators, and technical artists to develop highly functional weapons rigs. The ideal candidate should have a passion for achieving high standards of realism, functionality, and performance by our project requirements, and be interested in seeking out solutions to complex tasks.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, creating, and maintaining high-quality weapon rigs for a variety of designs.
  • Creating and hooking up game assets for effective gunsmithing and gameplay.
  • Communicating and collaborating with internal teams to ensure everything adheres to rigging standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to weapon rigs with guidance from senior team members.
  • Optimize rigs for performance and usability in the animation and design pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for weapon rigging tools and workflows.
  • Work within established pipelines and contribute to the development and optimization of rigging tools and techniques.

Minimum Requirements

  • Some experience as a weapon rigger, character rigger, or relevant internship experience in animation, VFX, or gaming
  • Experience of using Maya from a technical perspective
  • Basic understanding of weapon mechanics and rigging principals
  • Some working knowledge of Python or other programming languages
  • Strong interest in solving creative problems with technical solutions
  • Close attention to detail
  • Team player with great communication skills

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $24.04 – $44.47 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
