Job Description:

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a dedicated, experienced and passionate Assistant Lead Content Designer to help guide our team in creating memorable experiences in World of Warcraft.

The focus of this role is championing a team while planning, execution and driving direction of content releases. In this role, you are responsible for guiding a team of designers in defining future content releases, including plans and proposals for patch content, features and other experiences. As a content creator, you are responsible for implementing experiences that drive engagement, exploration and excitement. As a manager, you lead by example, championing ideas and providing direction, career growth opportunities and feedback to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a 1,000-foot view of content going into a release, ensuring the connective tissue between content, features, systems and rewards is well-planned and delivered.
  • Provides design feedback and direction in planning and executing future content releases.
  • Collaborates with leadership and partner teams throughout the development process.
  • Communicates across teams, integrating designs into memorable player experiences.
  • Provides constructive feedback to help achieve our design goals.
  • Mentors designers whilst providing career growth opportunities.
  • Champions a work / life balance for the team.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • 5+ years of game design experience.
  • Experience defining and driving designs from pitch to ship.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 – $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process.
