As we continue to grow, we are now looking for an AR/AP Accountant to join our Finance team in our office hubs in Bangalore. The team is responsible for monitoring the financial health of the entire company. They reason with logic, are accurate with numbers, and grasp what adds or brings tangible value to the business. And they do it with great optimism and humour.

As the AR/AP Accountant you will be responsible for taking ownership of the daily bookkeeping, assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly royalty statements, performing bank reconciliations and preparing VAT returns. You will report to our Line Manager and manage Direct Reports. Together you will ensure all aspects of the UK bookkeeping are completed to a high standard and where appropriate look to improve any current processes to increase efficiency within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the daily bookkeeping, ensuring sales and purchase invoices are entered accurately into our accounting systems.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly & quarterly royalty statements for our games.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts by maintaining fixed asset registers, calculating accruals and prepayments and preparing other balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Create bank payment runs
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist management with various monthly and quarterly reporting responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain correspondence with suppliers and customers and ensure any issues or discrepancies are dealt with or raised with the Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a similar position (preferably for a UK/European company) or experience of preparing monthly management accounts and reports (MIS)
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong spreadsheet skills with a good understanding of advanced formulas such as VLOOKUPS, SUMIF etc
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Dynamic and highly organised
  • Full or part-qualified (ICAI, Commerce with Accounting Majors (

/ ), AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) (or finance related degree) * Ideally passion for games

  • Based in one of our office hubs, following our hybrid model with 3 days per week on-site.
