About the Company
Brain&Brain is married duo David and Brooke Condolora: best known for folktale adventure Burly Men at Sea, which they developed during an eighteen-month stint as nomads. They’ve since continued to create games and other work, managed by their indomitable cairn terrier, Oliver Doggins, who inspired their first game and accompanies them on all dog-friendly escapades.
Brain&Brain got its start in 2012, while David was working at Pixar as an assistant editor, and Brooke was an independent designer and web developer. As a creative side project, the two began developing their first game, Doggins, and quickly fell in love with the medium.
After Doggins’ release in 2014, David left Pixar to join Brain&Brain full-time on their second project, Burly Men at Sea. Soon after, the Condoloras set out as nomadic farmhands to supplement development costs, traveling for the next year and a half. The game was released in 2016.
In 2017, they moved to the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas and began work on frontier adventure Wooden Nickel. Development of this game was later put on hold and a demo released.
Their latest title, Raincaster is currently in development.
